Technology Resources

At Chatham, we believe in equipping our students with the technology they need for academic success. From software and security to Wi-Fi to computers, we aim to create an environment where technology enhances the experience inside and outside the classroom.

Laptop Requirements

For new undergraduate and graduate students, there are two laptop options to ensure students have a computer that meets Chatham’s technology requirements. Students may purchase a device through the Direct Purchase Program or bring their own device that meets all university or specific program requirements.

Online Store

For students who wish or need to purchase a new laptop, Chatham’s Direct Purchase Laptop Program allows them to purchase a new MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Windows Surface, or other device through Chatham’s online store. Any purchased device from the store will meet Chatham’s technology requirements.

24-Hour Computer Lab

Chatham students have access to public computer labs in the library on the Shadyside Campus. The 24-hour computer lab has 3 Macs, and 31 PCs, and two Follow-Me printers. During the day the space is divided in two separate spaces, JKM 103 and 106. After hours, the rooms are connected together for an enlarged space with individual and group study furniture.

Printing

Students can access any Chatham printer using FollowMe printing that unlocks with their Chatham ID cards. Printers are located throughout the Shadyside, Eastside, and Eden Hall Campuses. On the Shadyside Campus, several printers are in the JKM Library on the first floor near IT Support Services if you need help with printing.
